• What is empress?

Porcelain with increased durability obtained by firing glass ceramic on a crystalline ceramic core compressed under pressure without using metal infrastructure. It consists of ceramics.

 

• Why and how does Empress look more natural?

Due to the lack of metal infrastructure and purely ceramic content, it completely reflects the transparency, light reflectance and transmission characteristics of natural teeth. The adhesion of adhesives to empress and tooth tissue provides the ideal color and transparency of the materials.

• What teeth can I get?

Empress is performed in cases where aesthetics gain importance such as anterior region incisor / molars.

• Which teeth do not empress?

Empress is not preferred for large molars with posterior teeth with increased chewing forces and side forces, and for anterior restorations with multiple teeth deficiencies. In these cases, zirconia substructures with aesthetic and higher resistance are the first choice.

• In what situations is Empress made?

• What are the stages of Empress application?

In the first session, the patient's face and mouth photos are archived. The teeth are measured and the smile design appropriate to the patient is obtained by studying the models.

To apply the design, the teeth are abraded ~ 2mm under local anesthesia and the final measurement is taken and the data obtained from the patient are sent to the laboratory. thus, the risk of sensitivity is eliminated and the patient continues his social life.

The compatibility of the empresses from the laboratory is checked and permanently adhered when the patient's consent is obtained.

• Am I going to walk around toothless while making empresses?

No temporary tooth restoration will be prepared at any stage. Even if there is a lack of teeth, these temporary restorations are eliminated from your lack of teeth while waiting for empresses.

• Do sessions take long?

~ 45 minutes sessions are sufficient.

• Can I eat and drink immediately after being pasted?

Once your empress is permanently bonded, you can easily eat and drink.

• How should I care?

No extra procedure is required other than daily oral hygiene procedures. Tooth brushing, flossing, bridges, if there is a suitable dental floss selection will extend the life of your natural teeth as well as the life of empresses.

• Will my gums be pulled over time?

If the correct preparation technique is used, there is no gingival extraction due to empress. The polished surface feature and the perfect edge fit make plaque build-up difficult and are biologically compatible with the gum.

• Zamanla dişten ayrılır mı, aralık oluşur mu?

Yapıştırıcı sistem sayesinde dişle sıkı bir bağlantı içerisindedir. Bu yapıştırıcı metal destekli porselenlerde olduğu gibi zamanla erimez, kaybolmaz. 

• Dişim empressin altından çürür mü?

Empressin dişe birebire oturması ve yapıştırıcının çözünmemesi, empress altında kalan diş dokusunu plaktan korur. Dişiniz empress altında çürümez.

• Empress düşer veya kırılır mı?

Kalıcı yapıştırılan bir empressin kendiliğinden düşmesi ya da istenerek tek parça halinde çıkarılması mümkün değildir.

Güçlendirilmiş yapıları nedeniyle kırılmazlar; ancak doğal dişleri için tehlike oluturabilecek her darbe empressler için de tehlike arz eder.

• Zamanla rengi/ şekli değişir mi?

Renk ve şekli tüm özelliklerini korur.

• Koku yapar mı?

Empress cilalı yüzeyiyle plak birikimine sebep olmayıp, diş etiyle uyumlu olmasıyla kokmayan bir malzemedir.

• Ağız içi dokularla uyumu nasıl?

Tüm yumuşak ve sert dokularla uyum içerisindedir, pürüzsüzdür, biyolojik olarak uyumludur.

• Bazı metallere alerjim var, empress alerji yapar mı ?

Kıymetsiz metal alaşımları bireylerde alerjik reaksiyona sebep olurken, tamamı porselen olan empress her hangi bir reaksiyona sebep olmaz.

• Eski kaplamalarım/ köprülerim dişetimde siyah renklenmelere sebep oluyor, empress aynı renkleşmeyi oluşturur mu?

Metal alt yapılı porselenlerde diş etinde altyapıdaki metalin yansıması söz konusudur; ancak empressler tamamen diş rengindedir. Diş etinini sağlıklı pembe rengiyle uyum içerisindedir.

• Eski kaplamalarım/ köprülerim beyaz ancak mat duruyor, empressle daha doğal bir görüntü mümkün mü?

Empressler ve altında kullanılan yapıştırıcılar ışığı geçirme özellikleri sebebiyle doğal dişleri taklit edeceklerdir.

• Tek dişimde şekil bozukluğu/ konum bozukluğu var, empress yapılırsa fark edilir mi?

Ön bölgede bu tip bir vakada empress, kullanılabilecek en ideal malzemedir. Simetriğindeki dişin yüzel özellikleri, formu birebir işlenebilir ve yapılan boyama tekniğinde renk uyumu sağlanır. istenirse doğal dişin yüzeyinde bulunan çatlaklar, beyaz lekelenmeler gibi karakteristik özelliklerin hepsi empresse yansıtılır.
