How Many Types of Bleaching Are Available?
There are 4 different methods.
1) Home type Whitening
2) Office type Whitening
3) Inner Whitening
4) Combined Whitening (Both home and office)
Which is the Most Effective Method?
Combination bleaching is most effective.
 How is Home Bleaching Applied?
Bleaching plates are prepared for the patient by taking measurements. Certain amounts of bleaching gel (10–15% carbamide peroxide) are applied to this prepared plate. The treatment is applied for a minimum of 4-6 hours during the day and lasts an average of 10-15 days. It is important not to over-apply the gel, otherwise the gel overflowing through the plate will irritate the gums. After the application, strictly colored foods should not be consumed and smoking should not be done.
 Office Type Bleaching
It is a suitable method for patients with time constraints. Provides effective whitening in less time. The dentist first isolates the gums with creams that provide isolation to prevent damage to the soft tissues from the gels. Then, the whitening gel applied on the teeth is activated by UV light or laser and the whitening lasts for an average of 1 hour. After the application, strictly colored foods should not be consumed and smoking should not be done.

 What is Combined Type Whitening?
It is the method where both office and home type are applied together. After application in the office, the process is supported by home bleaching for 2-3 days.
 What is Internal Bleaching?
After the root canal treatment, it is applied to colored teeth. The tooth filling is removed. Whitening gel is applied to the opened space. Then the tooth is tightly closed with temporary filling. The sessions are repeated until the desired color is reached.
Is there any harm to tooth whitening?
The duct filler must be well insulated. There is no harm if isolated well.
Are there side effects of teeth whitening?
Teeth may also be slightly sensitive after whitening. This sensitivity; air, very hot -cold food and drinks can be against. This is a normal and expected side effect. Sensitivity is generally expected to pass within 24-48 hours. If an unexpected situation is encountered, a physician should be consulted.

 How are the teeth whitened?
Tooth whitening is the result of the displacement of colored organic and inorganic substances formed in porous enamel structure on the surface of teeth with tooth whitening gels (carbamide peroxide).
How Long Does Teeth Whitening Last?
The whitening time varies from person to person. The average duration is 2-3 weeks. The more yellowing of the teeth than the graying, the more effective the whitening. Graying caused by antibiotic use is more difficult to bleach and may require longer time to reach the result.
Do I need to clean the Whitening Plate?
After use, the plate should be washed with liquid soap and rinsed thoroughly and stored in the box provided to you.
